Idaho cover is I-84, US-95, harvest, and mountain overlegal. A Boise DBA is identity. It is not an ITD overlegal permit. Oregon weight-mile and Washington OS/OW do not cover Idaho miles. Confirm L&I, then ITD for this route and these dimensions.
desks for this cover
- ITD overlegal
- Idaho overlegal is ITD. Mountain and harvest routes are still a permit, not a census checkbox.
- Not Oregon weight-mile
- Oregon tax credentials do not cover Idaho miles.
- ITD Ports of Entry
- Idaho IRP and IFTA run through ITD. L&I remains the federal BI&PD record.
- 49 CFR 387.9
- Mountain holds are routing. They do not change federal BI&PD floors.
mountain overlegal is itd
US-95 and mountain restrictions are ITD, not a we run Idaho email. Ask for the overlegal permit and the route. A Boise DBA is not the legal name on L&I unless it matches, including Inc versus LLC.
Oregon weight-mile is Oregon. Washington WSDOT is Washington. Neither covers Idaho miles. Write the state on the rate con. Then match the MC to L&I.
Harvest and mill freight still need Subpart I securement. Ports of entry are Idaho compliance, not BMC-91. Call the census telephone. If they swap trucks because of a mountain hold, confirm you are still on the same MC.

FMCSA vs Idaho
An Active FMCSA property MC is interstate operating authority. It is not a Idaho oversize permit, not IRP, not IFTA, and not intrastate authority. If this load never leaves Idaho, ask whether they have the state credential — and still match legal name on L&I if an MC is on the rate con.
As of September 2026, table 1 to 49 CFR 387.9 still lists $750,000, $1,000,000, and $5,000,000. The January 16, 2026 change is broker/freight-forwarder BMC-84/85 at $75,000 — your house, not the truck. The March 2026 FMCSA notice still says: do not buy or sell a USDOT or MC outside a real corporate deal.
UCR is a separate annual filing. It is not BMC-91 and not a ID OS/OW permit. Confirm UCR on the national UCR site if your process requires it. Then come back to L&I for the truck.

- If overlegal, is an ITD permit in hand for this route and these dimensions?
- Did someone paste Oregon weight-mile or WSDOT paper onto Idaho miles?
- Does the census telephone reach this motor carrier?
- If the load continues into Oregon, Washington, or Montana, whose permit covers those miles?
